JMA is built on relationships, teamwork and care, values that unite us with the industries, companies and communities we serve.
JMA Cares is a programme that celebrates these values by donating to organisations that provide invaluable educational, financial and emotional support to individuals and under-represented groups. Through these partnerships, we aim to promote equity, inclusion and belonging.
Whenever JMA places a candidate in a role, we invite that individual to select one of the organisations below and make a donation on their behalf.

Behind their smiles and slick service hospitality workers can fall upon hard times just like anybody else. Ours is a stressful industry, with long hours, high pressure environments and physically demanding work.
Injuries, mental health problems and addiction are sadly a feature of modern life in the hospitality trade. That’s where Hospitality Action steps in. We work to provide hospitality workers with financial, physical and psychological support to help them overcome adversity and get back to work as quickly as possible. We help individuals and their families stay afloat with grants to cover anything from rent payments to school uniform for their children. And for those who sadly can’t return to the industry they love, we provide ongoing support to transition them to the next stage of their lives.
For older people who have retired from the industry we provide grants to help with heating bills, home conversions or even funeral costs for loved ones. Just as importantly, we provide a lifeline to prevent loneliness and isolation and our ‘Golden Friends’ enjoy regular contact and local events to help them stay active and connected to their community.

The American Hotel and Lodging Educational Foundation (AHLEF), the charitable giving arm of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, is dedicated to helping people build careers that improve their lives and strengthen the lodging industry.
For over 60 years, AHLEF has advanced the lodging industry and supported the individuals that make up our workforce through three primary programs:
From lifting individuals out of poverty and connecting them with a life-long career in the industry to advancing current hotel employees into leadership positions, AHLEF’s programs are changing the industry by changing lives. We couldn't do this without you. AHLEF relies solely on contributions from generous companies and individuals who want to give back to the hotel industry and ensure its sustained success.
Founded in 1987, the NRAEF is the philanthropic foundation of the National Restaurant Association (established in 1919). The NRAEF works to attract, empower, and advance the future learners and leaders of the foodservice industry. ProStart, the cornerstone program of the NRAEF, is a two-year, industry-backed culinary arts and restaurant management program for high school students. The program annually reaches approximately 150,000 students in 1,900+ schools in all 50 states, District of Columbia, the Territory of Guam, and Department of Defense Education Activity schools in Europe and the Pacific. By bringing together the industry and the classroom, ProStart gives students a platform to discover new interests and talents to open doors for fulfilling careers. It happens through a curriculum that includes all facets of the industry – culinary arts and restaurant management, and sets a high standard of excellence for students and the industry.
